    Summary

    Profile

«A young man carrying a long sword frequently seen in book booths. He has a heart of gold and yearns for justice and fairness for all. »

    ~ Attribute text in game

    Appearance

Xingchiu has dark navy blue hair with asymmetrical bangs and golden amber eyes. He has a slim body and light skin tone. She usually wears a blue earring with a gold tassel on her right ear. He is the only character who wears a single right earring. Other characters have two earrings, no earrings or with only one left earring. His vision is pinned to the lower left side of his coat on a stretch of ruffled white fabric. An amber tassel that matches her eyes dangles from the vision.

Her outfit consists of a long silk coat that goes from black at the neck to shades of navy blue as the fabric descends. The bottom of the coat is colored a contrasting yellow and a soft, wavy pattern hints at his hydro vision found throughout the fabric. Her neck and shoulder plates are edged with a gold metallic material and on the right side of her chest is a large, circular brooch. It is encrusted with a blue jewel, as are the center of the collar, the buttons of the coat and the cuffs of the sleeves (front and side). Beneath, Xingchiu wears a long-sleeved white shirt with a ruffled seam to the right, revealed by the slit of his coat behind two overlapping ribbon-like buttons. Additionally, she wears distinctive ruffled sleeves that extend from the baggy gold pair of her coat. A white, black and yellow cloverleaf ribbon is pinned to the right side of his belt. Below it hangs a pair of rectangular ribbons, a white one covering a noticeably longer black ribbon. Both have gold decals on their ends. He also wears a pair of navy blue shorts with black ends that are mostly hidden by the length of his coat. On her right leg, Xingchiu wears a garter with a blue tassel, just below the knee. His footwear consists of a pair of high white calf boots, black on the heels and soles with gold motifs.

    Personality

On the surface, Xingchiu appears to be an educated young man who takes his studies seriously, but hides a more mischievous side from him. Due to this, he has an unstable relationship with his father due to not wanting to follow in his family's footsteps in the Feiyun Trade Guild. He is particularly good friends with Hu Tao and Chongyun, although he constantly teases the latter. He is an avid reader and spends most of his time searching for rare books when not preoccupied with his homework, writing his own books from time to time, having gained a reputation for doing so.

Being the second son of the Feiyun Trade Guild, Xingchiu is extremely wealthy and possesses a great deal of influence. He appreciates the value of the rightfully earned default. Wishing to become a real-life incarnation of the heroes he reads in the stories, Xingchiu has a strong sense of justice and does not tolerate dishonest methods. For him, chivalry is more than a standard of conduct, it is a way of thinking. The most chivalrous of all are not put off by setbacks, nor do they stop to indulge their sense of satisfaction when things go as expected. Instead, their minds are constantly focused on seizing the next opportunity to advance the cause of compassion and justice.

At a very young age, Xingchiu has mastered the chivalric code and cultivates the eccentric mentality that goes with it. This gave him a knack for the style of martial arts practiced by the Guhua Clan, and he gained some renown for effectively starting a Guhua revival. However, eager devotees who flock to the Guhua Clan's gates in search of the master himself may be disappointed upon hearing the guardian's awkward reply: "The master is in the mountains taking time for himself right now .. . Maybe I'll try again another day. "

Despite his seemingly carefree personality, he's also smart, capable of rectifying the problem in his own unique way, and he's done it in a way that people just stop arguing against him if he gets in trouble. He claims that when his older brother takes over, he will have to do all the work for him; Similarly, Yanfei has a positive opinion of him, as she was impressed with how he was able to keep up with his train of thought.

    History

Second son of the Feiyun Trade Guild, Xingchiu has had a reputation for being studious and educated since he was a young child. The parents at Liyue Harbor would speak adoringly of him, all secretly hoping that their own children would show as much promise as Xingchiu.

    Character story 1

For Xingchiu, "a moment of loneliness" can mean all kinds of things.

Examples include visiting Wanwen Bookstore to read the latest novels and going to Heyu's Tea House to sample Yunjin's latest drink.

Sometimes it means that you are going to fight for justice in the name of chivalry.

Defeat bandits on the road, drive away monsters, help distressed children collect their kites from the treetops ... there are all kinds of responsibilities that fall under the category of chivalry.

Inspired by tropes from his beloved martial arts novels, such as the king who disguises himself and mixes with ordinary people, Xingchiu does not hesitate to harness the power of the Feiyun Trade Guild to solve more complex problems when violence is not the answer. .

    Character story 2

One day, Xingchiu's older brother came looking for him, only to find that he wasn't around. When Xingchiu returned later, he met his brother in the hall.

"Your room was a mess, so I cleaned it. Listen, you and I are responsible for the reputation of the Feiyun Trade Guild. We have to play the part. If you can't clean a room, how are you going to clean the world? An adept once said ... "

After half an hour of lecturing, Xingchiu was finally fired, but his brother said something strange at the end:

"I will not enter your room without permission next time ... I will make sure the maids do the same."

Xingchiu had no idea what he was talking about. However, when his brother turned around, a downcast look on his face, he muttered to himself:

"Those books under his bed ... No. No, I shouldn't look at what kind of books they are .. Xingchiu is growing up after all .. I don't want to lecture him all the time ... Puberty maybe?"

Afterwards, even Xingchiu found it strange. Hoping that one of the maids would have something to say about the stash of martial arts novels under her bed, she had long since prepared her answer, but in the end, no one bothered to check her room again.

    Character story 3

To prevent Xingchiu from spending all day at the Wanwen Bookstore on the Feiyun slope, his father agreed to let him learn martial arts from the Guhua clan.

To his dismay, Xingchiu quickly discovered that Guhua was a dying art that had been in constant decline for years. There was no proper registration and it turned out that the luxury dojo he had enrolled in did not even belong to the clan, they had temporarily rented it to keep up appearances.

Xingchiu's father, of course, was aware of this situation beforehand. For him, it was all just for fun; He thought Xingchiu would be content to learn a little sword work for display, not serious self-defense.

He hadn't counted on the prodigiously intelligent and extremely cultured Xingchiu to be as outstanding a talent in Guhua as he was in all the other disciplines he had drawn upon. A combination of his own intuition and extensive knowledge of ancient literature meant that he was able to completely revitalize dead art.

Xingchiu was disappointed in Guhua's martial arts program at first, but found that the other tricks he was taught were exactly what he expected. Quicklime, smoking sand, paper fish, swallowing swords, breathing fire ... Xingchiu had many options to choose from.

He decided on the spot that he would learn them all, no matter how long it took. He reasoned that it would be helpful to have a repertoire during his future exploits as a chivalrous hero.

    Character story 4

There are two sides to the bully Xingchiu's personality. While he is calm and modest in front of strangers, he is sociable and talkative in the company of close friends and family. Although more restrained than his older brother, he even has a playful and mischievous side.

The one who usually wears the brunt of his strange sense of humor is someone named Chongyun, an exorcist who is usually found on one of the forest trails around Liyue.

"Chongyun ... I found a haunted house for you to practice ..."

"Chongyun, you have to believe me ... I wasn't the one who set traps inside the house. What? Isn't she haunted? Well ... I, uh, couldn't have known, right?"

"Chongyun ... Don't look at me like that ... Look, you're hurt. You better stay there and get some rest."

"I'll tell you what Chongyun, we have a maid who learned the art of essential oil therapy at a nobleman's home in Sumeru ... How about I ask him to tend to your wounds? You owe me one for this though .. . "

    Character story 5

The notion of chivalry means different things to different people.

Chivalry means listening to your conscience calling you to action when you see injustice, right? Or is chivalry simply distinguishing between good and evil? No, that's not enough, it must have something to do with being a fair person ...

For Xingchiu, chivalry simply means: Be good and do good.

As the son of a wealthy merchant in the port of Liyue, he was born to ride the waves in the world of commerce. Notions of chivalry should have gradually abandoned him as he grew older. However, gaining a Vision changed everything, it meant that he was finally able to achieve those legendary feats that he could only dream of as a child.

Of course, there is no way he can completely shed his Guild duties, but as long as he goes out and is the hero, even occasionally, he is perfectly content with his life.

The only thing that can erase the smile from Xingchiu's face is when cynics question the true motives of chivalrous heroes. Rank, reputation, reward, dark deals ... Whenever Xingchiu hears people smear the names of true heroes, the expression on his face may not change, but he will make sure to add that person to the special section of his reserved blacklist. for people it despises even more than carrots.

    "A legend of the sword"

Xingchiu once wrote a martial arts novel called "A Legend of the Sword" based on his own experiences, with the intention of publishing it in Liyue Harbor.

To his surprise, his manuscript was rejected by local publishers, who believed that no one would be interested in a story with "a setting as wildly unreal as the plot is banal." Annoyed, Xingchiu printed some copies privately and secretly placed them in the Wanwen Bookstore, which he frequented. But in fact, nobody liked reading it, a fact that he did not take very well.

However, unbeknownst to him, a passing merchant from Inazuma bought a copy to take home, where it received rave reviews. Writers in the region tried to copy the success of "A Legend of the Sword", but none succeeded: it maintains a permanent residence at number one in sales to this day.

    Vision

The martial arts school known as the Guhua Clan has been in decline for several hundred years. At its peak, the Clan's name rang like steel across the harbor. The Clan is said to have three great secret arts: the forms of "Light Piercer" for polearms, "Rain Cutter" for swords, and "Life Finisher" for those who excelled at both. All three arts would be perfected over the generations and eventually reach their pinnacle. However, the Clan's strength would continue to decline, leading them to lose their influence ...

All three arts became diamonds in the rough, silently waiting for a successor.

After many years, the Guhua Clan would finally obtain one in Xingchiu. It was he who successfully understood the ancient "Martial Principle" after just four years of study.

Guhua's weapon arts emphasize the use of the weapon as an extension of your body and, in fact, this is a common idea among the various martial arts schools in Liyue. But from the way Xingchiu saw it, the base of the arm and sword was the use of a Vision. The martial arts were meant to see a Vision as an extension of themselves and to see his weapon as an extension of the Vision. Therefore, it says that: the arts of both the polearm and the sword are only the art of the "eye".

Having reached this epiphany, Xingchiu took up a pen and wrote a verse on the Martial Principle. Upon reading it, Guhua's head shook in tears, declaring that "it is not Xingchiu who needs the Guhua Clan, but the Guhua Clan that needs Xingchiu." Since then, this verse has been sealed at the Clan headquarters in the Wangshan Hall. Disciples are forbidden to read it, much less outsiders.

    The verse goes like this:

"The arts of Guhua I have studied for a long time, in their secrets I am trained, now their long lost depths fall upon me like the coming of a blessed rain. The beating heart of Guhua's sword art is like a rain of floating flowers. One in the middle can seize a flower, but those who do not have it only read doom. "

"The Guhua spear is the dance of a lantern, like flames in the deep darkness of night. Like sparks, they disperse easily in the dark, then coalesce like the approaching dawn."

"They say that the sword is like your arm; I say that its brightness is the eye of the beholder, a light like the bright dawn approaching."

"Those who wander are not burdened. They freely cut through the rain and illuminated pierce the light. Like a meandering dragon, they cannot be subdued. In their right eye the blade, and in the other the spear."

This text should have been free to read for everyone. The only reason it was stamped is the terrible handwriting.

    Birthday - Congratulations

Happy Birthday! I wish you a happy day and that you meet many more.

    Birthday - Customs

According to historical records, the Tiancheng Stone Bridge was formed by a spear made of rock that Morax, Archon Geo, threw in battle. If you walk over that bridge on your birthday and throw some Blackberries into the sea from both sides, you'll be in luck for the rest of the year. You only have one birthday once a year, so don't wait too long if you want to go. I'm not lying, it's true! Try it and you will see!

    Curiosities

    • Xingchiu and Bennett share the same English voice actress, Cristina Vee Valenzuela.
    • Xingchiu's handwriting is extremely messy, often mistaken by other people for some kind of old cipher or handwriting. His verse on the Martial Principle was locked away not because of any particularly deep secrets, but because it was written so carelessly that the Guhua leader did not want anyone to witness it. So far, only Xu from the Feiyun Merchants Guild has been able to read it.
